Charter of "Operation Logo" : Freelang's commitments
1. Freelang takes every order into account
When you order a product on cafepress.com, you are given an order number. This number, the date, the description and total amount will then be posted here, on the Accounts page. So you can easily check that your order has been taken into account. Of course, we will leave out any personal information concerning our customers (see our privacy policy).
2. Freelang tells you what is its profit margin on each product
Cafepress pays Freelang a $US 10.00 commission on each product. If a t-shirt is sold $US 28.99, you know that Cafepress keeps $US 18.99, and that the remaining $US 10.00 are for Freelang.
3. Freelang tells you the exact received amount
When Cafepress makes a payment to Freelang, the receipt of the payment will be posted on this site. You will know exactly how much money we received, in local currency (Thai Baht), after the bank fees (change and commission) are deducted.
4. Freelang doesn't deduct anything on this amount
The whole amount of money that is sent to our bank account by Cafepress will be used for the orphanage. Freelang doesn't deduct anything, there will be no overheads, no expenses, no "variable" or "incidental" costs. If Freelang earns 7,000 THB (Thai Baht), then we will use these 7,000 THB to buy things for the orphanage. The only deducted fees are the bank fees on the Cafepress payment.
5. Freelang tells you where the money goes
The orphanage we have chosen is "Phayathai Home for Babies" in Bangkok. It is supported up to 80% by public funding, and it provides shelter and medical care for children aged 0 to 5 years. We will post a more detailed presentation soon in our blog, and you can also check out their website. There is no religious implication whatsoever, either at the orphanage or for this operation.
6. Freelang will provide donations in kind, not money
The money we receive will be used to buy some useful things that we will deliver ourselves to the orphanage. Proofs of purchase and receipts will be posted on this site. The orphanage won't get donations in cash from us. This is the best way to ensure that the money will be used entirely and without any embezzlement.
7. Freelang will provide useful donations
We will phone the orphanage just before we actually buy any goods, to check whether they have any special needs at the moment. In all likelihood, we will buy powder milk, as the oprhanage needs some everyday and in large quantities.
8. Freelang will keep you informed about the operation
Each time we will make a donation, and we hope there will be many times, we will post an article in our blog.
9. Freelang will keep you informed about the future of the operation
The operation will be pursued as long as people keep buying Freelang products, and as long as we are able to deliver the donations. Should anything change, either the nature of the operation or the destination of donations, we will inform you by all the means we have (this website, our forum and our blog).
